INGREDIENTS

Preserved Water (Sterile) (Bacteriostatic) with benzyl alcohol 0.9% is sterile water for injection containing a small amount of benzyl alcohol as an antimicrobial preservative. It is used as a diluent to dissolve or dilute compatible injectable medicines so they can be given in the volume prescribed by your healthcare professional. The benzyl alcohol helps limit microbial growth in a multi-dose vial when it is accessed multiple times under appropriate aseptic conditions.

Contains benzyl alcohol 0.9% as a preservative. Benzyl alcohol–containing products must not be used in premature infants and are generally not recommended for use in newborns or very young children unless specifically prescribed, due to the risk of serious adverse reactions.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have allergies to benzyl alcohol or other preservatives, or have any other medical conditions before using this product.

Do not use if the solution is cloudy, coloured, contains particles, or if the vial is cracked, damaged or appears to have been previously opened or compromised.

Discard any unused solution after the time specified on your pharmacy label or as directed by your pharmacist. Never share vials, needles or syringes with another person.

STORAGE

Keep refrigerated and store between 2°C and 8°C. Keep the vial in its outer carton to protect it from light. Do not freeze.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date on the label.
