Do these compounded capsules contain gluten?
No! All NCC compounded vitamin blends are gluten-free. We ensure that our raw materials and compounding processes are safe for those with gluten sensitivities or coeliac disease.
Are they dairy free?
Yes. Our compounded capsules are dairy-free — no milk, lactose, or dairy derivatives are used in formulation or encapsulation.
Are the capsules vegetarian or gelatin-based?
We offer both options! Most of our compounded vitamins use vegetarian (plant-based) capsules, but gelatin capsules can also be used if requested or clinically required. If you have a preference, just let us know when placing your order.
Can I order extra products like SAM-e, Fish Oils, Probiotics, or Herbals?
Yes, you can! Along with your compounded vitamins, NCC can supply a range of additional therapeutic products, including:
- SAM-e (S-adenosyl methionine)
- Fish Oils (Omega-3)
- Probiotics
- Herbal extracts and formulations
These can be ordered alongside your compounded prescription, depending on your practitioner’s recommendation.
How do I use my DNA report to build my custom powder?
The DNA report that you may have been sent by your provider contains a number of supplements and the daily dose suggested.
Use these daily dose to enter into the formulation builder.
I don’t really understand my DNA results. Can I still order?
Yes. You don’t need to understand the genetics or biochemistry.
Feel free to email our team and tell us your main goals (for example: “energy & focus”, “mood & sleep”, “methylation support”).
Our pharmacists use the recommendations in your report to build a safe, balanced formula for you.
Who checks that my formula is safe and makes sense?
Every custom formula is reviewed by a registered pharmacist before it’s made. We check:
- Total daily doses
- Any potential clashes between ingredients
- Your allergy/medical history and medicines you list in the form
If something doesn’t look right, we’ll contact you by email (and only phone if absolutely necessary) before we proceed.
Will this interact with my current medicines or medical conditions?
Possibly – and that’s why we ask about your health history and medicines at checkout.
Our pharmacist reviews this against your chosen ingredients. If we see a potential concern, we’ll email or call you with options, which may include adjusting doses, removing an ingredient, or asking you to speak with your doctor before we supply.
Do I need a prescription from my doctor?
For most blends, no prescription is needed because they are nutritional supplements, not prescription medicines.
However, we strongly recommend you share your DNA report and final ingredient list with your doctor or practitioner, especially if you have existing medical conditions or take regular medication.
Can my practitioner suggest changes to the formula?
Absolutely. Your practitioner can mark up your DNA report or send us an updated ingredient list or dose recommendations.
You can upload this during the order process or reply to your confirmation email with the updated advice. We’ll adjust the formula before it’s compounded.
Please note that once the order has been confirmed, no further changes are possible.
What if my health goals change or I get an updated DNA report?
You’re not locked into one formula forever. You can:
- Re-order your current blend exactly as is, or
- Place a new order using your updated report or new goals
We’ll treat it as a fresh review, adjust doses if needed, and clearly label each version so you know which blend you’re taking.
How many servings are in one order and how do I take it?
You choose the number of daily doses (for example, 30, 60 or 90).
One dose = one daily serve. Your label will clearly state:
- How much powder to use per day (if powder)
- How many capsules to take per day (if capsules)
- The best way to take it (e.g. mix with water, juice, or a smoothie)
If the total active ingredients are quite high, we may suggest splitting your daily serve into morning and evening for comfort.
What does the powder taste like? Can I add flavour?
Most ingredients have a mild to slightly bitter taste.
We will use a base flavours and/or sweeteners to make it easier to drink without affecting the performance of your formula.
If you prefer no flavour, you can choose an unflavoured option and mix it into your own smoothie, yoghurt, or juice.
How long does it take to make and deliver my custom powder?
Once we receive your order and DNA report, your formula is usually compounded within a set number of business days (typically 3 business days).
Express shipping is then added at checkout.
You’ll receive email updates from our Order Portal when your order is:
- Received & Checked
- Approved by the pharmacist
- Compounding & made
- Shipped with tracking details
No phone calls are needed unless we have a safety question about your ingredients.
